At Last The Roof Is On....

We have decided to draw a veil over the happenings of the last few weeks. We can’t write about it without thinking about it, and we don’t want to think about it. We should be able to get rid of the scaffolding next week.  The plumber will start next week, the kitchen goes in the week after. We still need to get the septic tank in, the drains dug, and the electricity connected.  Then it’s just the tiling.  Can we make it by Christmas? Or will it be Plan B? Time will tell.

With superb timing, Darren arrives just as the lifting gear is being lowered. His van wouldn’t start. We are off to collect the Ranger, so won’t see the beams being lifted.
