The Long Rafters
These are the long rafters. We have ten of them and they weigh about 150kg each. One has been cut perfectly to the drawing, unfortunately the drawing is incorrect. We need another drawing, for which we fortunately have email, and another rafter.
We have hired a crane to lift these brutes into position on Friday. We will miss the fun as we have to go to Amberley to collect the Ranger.

We Now Have Rafters
These are the short rafters. They turned out to be a bit too short, so we had to pack them with other wood.

We have Gables
Doesn’t the wood look nice with the evening light on it? We are now nearly ready to put the roof on. Colin and I will do as much sanding and varnishing as possible over the weekend, once that’s done we can put the windows in. I think in two weeks we will be enclosed, then we can get the kitchen in, the bathroom, and do the floor tiles.
