Avebury and Stonehenge

2011 04 1060

Photo is Avebury, but we are now at Stonehenge. You know what that looks like. Weather still great. I was looking at some postcards yesterday, and I realised that writing this blog is just like sending postcards!

We are staying at Stonehenge for the 4 days of Easter, site is packed with families and young children. We thought better make sure we have somewhere to stay, rather than going on and finding sites full.

We have joined the National Trust. 83.50 for the two of us, and we have already saved 40 pounds in 3 days! We will go to Stonehenge itself twice a day, trying to get some different skies. It’s 7.50 each to go in, and we get free entry as NT members, so we will have just about made our money back by the time we leave here!

What are you all doing for Easter? No problems in the recent aftershocks?

  1. Looks lovely. No more problems in the aftershock. It was a horrible one though, like the house was moving around on it’s piles instead of just shaking.

Have you uploaded much to istock? I might have a look.

  2. Some, but most are not yet on line. IS are very slow. Also we are waiting for grey days to do processing. Also on this camp site we have a very poor connection. We are getting plenty of good stuff though.
