This is the pier at Saltburn-by-the-Sea at 4:48am on Monday.

And that’s it at 9:19pm the night before. No wonder we need a rest sometimes!

Here’s another view of the pier and the water-powered funicular cliff railway.
Saltburn is an interesting place and not very well known outside the North East of England. We found lots to photograph, and it’s a very pleasant little town, even with the way the wind has been blowing lately.
We’ve moved on again, back to the Lake District and arrived in Keswick today, hoping for some better weather and light. Right now, it’s raining. Again.
