After enduring 12 windswept, soaking, squelching, wet days in Scotland, we are now in France! It’s still summer here!

You don’t need sunshine for waterfalls….

We had 10 minutes sunshine at sunrise on this day….

No sunshine on this day, but unbelievable anounts of biting insects….

Amazingly, the 10 minutes sunshine on this day coincided with our arriving at Eilan Donan castle…

And to be honest, we had good weather for our trip to Iona – a whole morning of it.
However, we had had enough of sitting in the van looking at rain, so we left Skye on Sunday morning, and arrived at Portsmouth by Monday evening.
We plan to go down to the Dordogne and on to Provence and the South Coast. Here’s hoping we have done the right thing!
Nice to hear from you, I thought that you were lost, ! Love Mum
We are fully ensconced in the throws of the Rugby Wolrd Cup [TM] here in New Zealand. Please tell me that you have not heard about the Auckland train fiasco. It has been all over the news here, driving us non-jaffas mad! And of course Zara’s husband has been caught snogging some blonde bird in Queenstown. Another rumble over the weekend. I was at Riccarton Mall. It felt really strong but it was only a 4.5. The central city continues to be demolished. Cashel Mall is virtually unrecognisable. Looking forward to having you both home. The beaches have been declared clean so Harvey is looking forward to going to the beach with Grandma and Grandpa!
Love Caroline, Rob and Harvey xxx
