A change in the weather on the California coast meant that we changed our plans, and headed inland to Death Valley. Who remembers being dragged out of bed at 4am to pack and see the sunrise at Zabriskie Point?
We could have spent two weeks in the Valley, but regretfully left this morning and are now at Las Vegas. Tomorrow we will attempt to photograph the Strip, and then head on to Grand Canyon.
It’s not until you get here that you realise what a vast, vast country this is, with so much to see. 8 weeks won’t be nearly long enough. I’m already wondering how we can manage a longer trip!

It looks amazing. I do remember being dragged around those places as an ungrateful teenager. I’d love to go there now!! When do you get back? I think we are leaving about 24th April.

Yes, we have a conditional contract, goes unconditional on 16th April. We are renting in Tauranga and will probably build in Omokoroa.
