So there we were at sunrise this morning at Domme, renowned for its view of the Dordogne River…

The view arrived eventually, after we had been back to the van for refreshments, but without the subtle light we had been hoping for. C’est la vie!

Just down the river a bit is Beynac, with a Chateau perched on a rock above the river. Our guidebook referred to ‘a stiff climb’ up to it… We’ve been getting some good exercise lately.
