Le Sud

It has been very warm, didn’t expect this at end of September – 31 degrees! A bit cooler today thank goodness.

Rocamadour and loads of balloons….

Pont Valentre, Cahors, and perfect reflection….

Carcassonne – this doesn’t look real. It’s like a fairytale castle…

Pont du Gard – where we are now. 2000 years old, every stone individually cut, no mortar used, and it’s still standing!

We are going to look around this area – Roman remains and the Camargue – then set off back north, going through Brittany again. See what it looks like in Autumn.

  1. Lovely pictures, the weather is very warm here, can’t believe it is October.

They must have used chewing gum to stick the bridge together, that seems to be very lasting if the pavements are anything to go by.

Got Alex and Chris married at last but I didn’t go.

  2. Wow. Stunning. I bet you don’t want to come home. The weather is improving here. Sun and 22 degrees today. I am STILL sick. We have been back from Borneo for a month now and I still have a horrible chunky cough. The Dr has tested me for whooping cough. I get the results next week. I don’t think I have it but I am not allowed to go back to work until it is confirmed. I only got three hours sleep last night because of all the coughing. Ah well.

Harvey is fat. He is on a diet. We are booking flights to England for next year. We’ll go to Bristol, go and see Grandma and also go and see Rob’s Mum in Spain. I’m trying to talk Rob into a quick trip to Greece but he doesn’t seem that keen. I think it will depend on what the Euro does. New Zealand’s credit rating has been down graded to AA from AA+. The NZD has already fallen 3p since! Really annoying as I still want to buy that dress!

If I’m better we are off to Nelson next weekend to Kate and the kiddies.

    Love Caroline xxx
