
In Nimes they have some authentic Roman buildings in the city centre, including an amphitheatre which is still used for bullfights and other events. It’s now the roadworks season in Nimes, and diversions tend to lose signs, resulting in extended tours of quaint little back streets.

Aigus-Mortes is on the edge of the Camargue, and was a port until the Rhone delta silted up and moved the coast away. We took a spin around the Camargue and found it not very interesting. The weather was hot and hazy, very bad for photography, so we decided to head north again.

The Millau Viaduct again, this time at dawn.

Back at Blois, on the Loire, and Linda is still looking for a comfortable chair. The style is suitable, but we don’t have anywhere for a dais at home.

Doubtful that Christchurch City Council would approve this…
We’re now at Amboise again, working down the Loire and then back round Brittany to reshoot some places in different conditions.
