We’ve had a real mixed bag of weather here – snow, bright sunshine, dull skies, howling gales, freezing cold, rain…often all in one day!
Of course everyone knows that York is beautiful, often voted as one of the most desirable cities in the world to live.
Historic building converted into apartments – if you lived in York, you’d want to live in the city, as the suburbs are just like everywhere else, but could you afford it? See here –

Also, I hear the river floods from time to time, so hope they’ve got good flood defences!

The Minster is very fancy.
A dull day…

A clear spell…it was snowing hard just an hour earlier!

This took about three visits and a fair amount of photoshop – the bright side of the plinth is a real mess.

You can shop till you drop in York, and there’s a huge out of town mall as well.

This is Stonegate – we will need another visit later in the year, the city is very photogenic!
Today we are off to Bridlington – we have to leave as the camp site here is fully booked for the weekend.
Looks lovely. No photos of the grand old duke… Did he refuse to sign a photo release?
It does look lovely. Rob would like you to bring him back some viking memorabilia as he thinks his ancestors settled in York! We’re off to Kawerau today. Just to pick up some plants, we hear it isn’t exactly a tourist destination!
Can you get me a new Eric Bloodaxe tshirt please?
Kelby, we looked out for the present Duke of York, but he seems to be keeping a low profile!
Caroline, why does Rob think his ancestors settled here? Strangely Bridlington IS a tourist destination, but it’s possibly less attractive than Kawerau.
Kate, no you are a big girl now, they don’t go up to your size.
Rob says he is the last true bloodline descendant of Viking Ulf…. can’t you tell?
Boooooooooooo!
That dentist should never have told Rob he had Viking teeth 😉
