
Here we are at Bridlington on the Yorkshire Riviera! As at York, the weather has been very mixed. Today (Monday) we’ve had some sun, and the wind has dropped a bit. We were out at the harbour very early this morning as you can see.

We’ve had a real mixed bag of weather here – snow, bright sunshine, dull skies, howling gales, freezing cold, rain…often all in one day!

We had heard that Changi is the best airport in the world, so thought we would have a look. Made me wish I had a couple of kids to take around!

Look at this – Christchurch Airport using one of our photos very big! We took this in 2007 – we were photographing daffodils in Hagley Park, went back to the car, a last look at the park as we got in, and there was this pic!
After Yosemite, we have returned to the coast and are making our way back to San Francisco. Our first stop – Santa Cruz, a typical seaside town, famous for its Boardwalk, which is actually a fun fair.

We were really looking forward to this, but TBH it was a bit disappointing. It’s nothing special, certainly not deserving of its reputation. If we ignore the incessant rain and and the sand flies, our own West Coast is far more beautiful, interesting and accessible, and a lot less crowded. There are a few good bits:-
