Bournemouth

Bournemouth is not really an attractive place. Look at the buildings they have chosen to line their seafront. 1960’s block architecture?

However, just down the road is Boscombe, where we managed to get this:-

Maybe we have been spoiled by the lovely towns we have passed through – Worcester, Gloucester, Bath and Salisbury….

We are now at a campsite near Corfe Castle. We are parked about 20 meters from a train line, with a steam train running along it! Tomorrow we are going to the castle, and down to Poole Harbour to photograph the ferries.

Have you got anything planned for the wedding?

  1. Katie and I went to Corfe Castle last time we were in the area, and we went on the steam train. It took us to a beautiful seaside town with a very old fashioned feel, no “amusements”. Recommended

  2. Yes, we had better weather, in fact clear blue sky but looked a bit boring so I added the new sky.
We took a boat from Swanage to Poole harbour yesterday, my god the sea was rough. I felt sick the whole way and for one hour after. We came back on the bus! Colin does not suffer at all from motion sickness, lucky thing. I have now decided that we will NOT do the Santander crossing.

  3. It does, but I think its the angle of the shot. I thought about straightening it, but decided not to. I also think it looks a bit green, we’ll see what iStock thinks, when they get around to looking at it.
We have had an email from the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in Canberra. They want one of our photos for a 4 meter mural!
We are on a site near Bakewell in the Peak District. The farmer’s wife has 8 labradors, which she shows.
Sold a Harvey today, how is our grandson? Can you go to the beach yet?
